Autumn sown white clover after wheat results in good white clover establishment and large areas can be sown. Direct drilling white clover into barley stubble in the autumn also gives very good white clover establishment. Other methods which include ryegrass and white clover sown together in autumn, sowing with autumn wheat, undersowing barley and processed peas in the spring and oversowing autumn wheat in the spring are less successful.
