Abstract

Young Merino wethers set stocked from November to April, over 5 years, on developed high country legume pastures, at Lake Tekapo at 50 kglhafyr superphosphate, showed daily liveweight gain on perennial lupin and alsike clover that were 53% and 70%; respectively, of that on Pawera red clover (110 g/day).
